This week we’ve been learning about Sir Titus Salt as part of our Vile Victorians topic.
Sir Titus Salt built Saltaire, near Bradford, as a model village for families who worked for him in his textile mills. He built everything they needed from houses and hospitals to shops and stations.
Here in Class 5, we’ve been building our own model village – Moortownaire! It’s going to be like Saltaire, just on a slightly smaller scale! It was a wonderfully industrious lesson with the whole class working really hard. Our buildings are mostly finished now, complete with doors, windows, curtains, bricks, roof slates and flower beds.
