Thursday 27 January 2011

This week’s spellings are all homophones again – words that sound the same but are spelt differently.

When tested, children will be given a sentence to provide a context for the word.

All children are learning the same spellings.  Don’t forget – school is closed on Friday so the test will be a day earlier!

(For an extra challenge, try creating sentences with the homophones in eg During the evening, I wasn’t allowed to read aloud.)
