I can write a news report.
We’ve been practising writing news reports already, so children know what should be included in one. Here’s a quick list of things to remember to include (R2s we call them!):
- Headline
- Sub-heading
Main News:
- What has happened
- Where it’s happened
- When it happened
- Who did it
Background:
- More what
- Why it happened
- Quotes
Then, mention the future. Children should remember learning about It… that… sentences like:
- It is predicted that…
- It is certain that…
- It is expected that…
- It is thought that…
