Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
Our class assembly went really well yesterday. It was on our Big Topic, Snowbound, where we imagine being stuck in school due to very deep snow.
Children shared their topic with the school and adults who came to watch. If you missed it, we explained loads of science: why it snows and not rains, where snow comes from, what countries experience a lot of snow, why some places are colder than others and how animals are adapted to their environment.
It was a great performance – well done, Year 5!
