This week’s homework is Talk Time.
I can learn five interesting new words to use in writing.
Children should find some new words that they would like to start using in their writing. It’s really important that children hear these words in sentences, or even better, in a conversation. Adults can explain their meanings as well as show children how and when to use them.
As this is Talk Time homework, I don’t expect much written in books, just a quick comment from an adult or some notes to remind children of the words they’ve learnt.
To check their understanding, I’ll be asking children to write sentences with their new words in.
