This week’s spellings are, again, all words that end in a ‘shun‘ sound.
Unlike last week, this week’s words end in :
- sian (for where someone is from or language: ‘Russian‘ or ‘Asian‘)
- sion
- cian (if the word is someone’s job: electrician, musician, magician).
Some of the words might be unfamiliar to children, so they should learn their meaning as well. This is a great opportunity for children to learn impressive new words to then put into their writing. Practising writing them in sentences will obviously help with this process and should be part of spelling learning at home.
