This week’s spellings are plurals again. This time, we’re focusing on word endings that change from f to v when they are pluralised eg Mr Wilks may have one calf but I have three calves, and Mr Redfearn has one nice scarf but all of my scarves are even nicer.

This week’s spellings are all plurals that need to change an f to a v. For example, you have one scarf but many scarves. Can you come up with more of your own? |
|
calves |
knives |
selves |
loaves |
thieves |
lives |
halves |
scarves |
wolves |
wives |
Although these spellings are fairly straightforward, children can easily push themselves by thinking of their own and should, of course, be using these words in sentences when they practise.
