This week the spellings are all ‘double up words’ because they have a short vowel sound before the double letter (think of comma / coma or dinner / diner).
These words also have an ‘le’ ending. This ending is commonly misheard and misspelled as ‘el’ or ‘ul’.
The children will be tested on eight out of the ten words on Thursday 28 March.
