Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
Today in Maths, our wonderful Year 1s have been learning how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. They worked really hard on this and even managed to count to 100 in all 3! They then took part in an activity where they had to write down the missing number between two others while counting in either 2s, 5s or 10s.
Well done Year 1 on another brilliant week (with Friday to come). Next week is the phonics screening check, carry on practising your brilliant reading at home.
