Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
All the children have now started their learning journey at Moortown with confidence and very few tears!
They have settled well and had fun exploring the areas of the classroom and making friends.
This week we will begin our ‘Relax and Read’ session on Wednesday morning and we have our first workshop on Thursday.
This workshop will explain how the children learn in Reception and how you can support their learning at home.
We hope you will attend the sessions at either 2pm or 6pm.
