The government’s childhood obesity plan has set out the ambition for all children to achieve 60 minutes of physical activity every day (30 minutes in school and 30 minutes outside of school). In response to this, we’ve compiled a physical activity guide suggesting out-of-school physical activities available to families in our local area.
Breeze promotes positive ways to join in, get involved and be active for all children and young people aged 0-19 from Leeds (and their families). They gather everything they can find together in one place and then you can use their online events finder on the home page.
Although BreezeLeeds.org is run by Leeds City Council, the information included comes from all sorts of organisations and partners working positively with children, young people and their families in Leeds, not just the Council.
They’ve checked the quality of the activities and the qualifications of the organisations to provide events and and activities for children and young people in advance. Everyone who posts information on the website is an active member of BreezeCultureNetwork.org and has already provided information about their safeguarding and equality policies and procedures.
