Extended services
Just like many schools in Leeds, we work with an extended services cluster to provide additional support for children and their families – help that centres around things like attendance, emotional wellbeing and family support. The extended services cluster for our area is ARM (Alwoodley, Roundhay, Moortown).
National Healthy Schools Status
This award demonstrates the work which we do in four areas of health: physical activity, emotional health, healthy eating and PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education).
Health and Wellbeing Beacon School
We’re very proud to have been recognised as going far beyond the national criteria to achieve Healthy School status: due to our long-standing commitment to the Healthy Schools framework and the excellent work that we do to promote being happy and healthy, we have been selected as a Health and Wellbeing Beacon School.
Feedback from Leeds Health and Wellbeing Service includes: ‘As a result of strong leadership and staff’s commitment to developing the whole child, the Healthy Schools framework is an integral part of school life. Great time and effort are put into ensuring that every opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of the whole school community, is utilised which is reflected in the school aim – to be a happy and healthy place to learn.’ Read the full feedback.
School Games Mark
The School Games Mark is a Government-led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Schools in England are able to assess themselves across bronze, silver and gold levels. We’re proud to be awarded Platinum.
Noctua School Alliance
We’re very happy to be a strategic partner of Noctua School Alliance.
Noctua was established in 2013. It was designated a teaching school in 2014, and in 2021 became a school alliance. It’s a network of schools that work with others to provide high quality support and training for teachers and schools in Leeds and beyond. An example of the work we do is supporting teachers who are in the early stages of their career.
Noctua is made up strategic and operational partners. The strategic partners are Noctua’s ‘governing body’, involved in communications with stakeholders such as teaching school hubs and local authorities. Alongside us, Noctua’s strategic partners are Tranmere Park Primary, Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary, Shakespeare Primary, Park Spring Primary and Beeston Primary.
