Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This week in our learning the wonderful Year 1s have been learning about the world we live in. Over the last two weeks, they have been learning about oceans and continents, and today they carried it on by learning all about the North and South Pole, the equator and the different hemispheres.
They did really well in this and were even able to identify countries from each hemisphere!
