Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
This morning we’ve been working in teams to create a raft so that the pirates can escape their sinking pirate ship with their treasure.
The children had to design their raft using just the given materials. They then had to build the rafts. As the children encountered problems, they had to adapt their designs and work together to find solutions.
Tomorrow, we’ll see which raft can hold the most treasure!
