This afternoon, Year 2 spent a very enjoyable, hot and active afternoon at Old Leos cricket club taking part in the All Stars cricket festival with other Year 2 children.
All the activities involved skills associated with cricket – bowling, batting, aiming at a target, catching and throwing. The children put great effort into each activity.
Tom from All Stars cricket will be visiting school next week to deliver sessions for Year 1 and Year 2 and a whole school assembly where the children will find out the All Stars cricket programme at local clubs.
We even had a star cricketer who impressed the organisers with his skills.
Thank you to parents who helped to transport the children and for the loan of booster seats.
