This week, our homework is Creative: I can show what I know about angles.
In maths this week we’ve started our new geometry topic. So far we’ve focused on angles: what they are, how we use a protractor, how we know if it is acute, obtuse, reflex or a right angle and lots of estimating. This homework will allow children to consolidate this learning.
We discussed lots of ways in which children might respond to this. Here are a few examples…
- find angles around your house, take pictures of them and estimate their size
- create a poster which could help someone use a protractor
- film yourself measuring angles
- go out and about, creating a Vlog of all the angles you can spot
Of course there are many ways in which you might respond to this. Please remember that it is a creative homework and children should be spending about 30 minutes on completing it.
