Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This week’s home is Practice Makes Perfect.
In class, Year 4 have been writing recounts. Today, we watched a short cartoon about the discovery of a pyramid. The children have been asked to write a diary entry as if they were the person entering the vast tomb.
There are several things to remember when writing a recount. The class will need to remember these and include them in their writing.
Remember, this is not a story!
