Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This page is for our children - advice to help you to stay safe and be a happy and healthy person.
This week our Year 1s have been learning to sew using a needle and thread for their hand puppets. They have learnt how to do an over stitch and they really impressed us with how well they picked this up and managed to stay safe while doing so.
It’s a big day for the children today as they will be starting their design process – designing their hand puppets, as well as choosing their coloured felt.
