Moortown Primary is a ‘single-form entry’ school. This means we take only one class each year and so have one class in each year group. Classes are limited to a maximum of 30 children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 (like all schools), and classes in Years 3 to 6 are usually around this size, too.

This week, in topic lessons, the children have explored timelines to locate the Golden Age of Ancient Greece where society was at its best.
The children learned about the differences in the way of life in the Ancient Greek city states of Athens and Sparta. The children decided whether they’d rather be an Athenian or a Spartan! Help at home by asking your child to recall the differences between each city state.
