This is the second block of spellings for this half term. We will practice these spellings for two weeks. They will be tested on Friday 16th October.
How the spelling of verbs alters when -ing is
added.
Spelling rule:
When adding -ing to a verb, the spelling of the
word may change. You may need to double the
final consonant, drop the final e, or make another
spelling change.

2. refer → referring
3. occur → occurring
4. prefer → preferring
5. commit → committing
6. write → writing
7. notice → noticing
8. believe → believing
9. carry → carrying
10. travel → travelling
