Drop the ‘Y’ for an ‘I’
Spelling rule:
When a word ends in y, we often change the y to i before adding a suffix.
This week’s words:
- happily
- happier
- happiest
- easily
- easier
- carried
- worried
- copied
- tried
- cried
Remember: y → i before adding the suffix
For example:
- happy → happily
- carry → carried
- easy → easily
Can you spot where the y has changed to an i?
There will be a spelling test on Friday 16 October.
