Today, the children in school learnt all about Amelia Mary Earhart. She was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Bones discovered on a Pacific island belong to Amelia Earhart, a ...

After lots of discussion about Amelia’s heroic adventures, we had a go at drawing some pictures of her in an aircraft.

I’m sure you will agree that the sketches are superb!

Well done, Ewan, Bridget, Harman, Vedant, Shameeska, Jodie and Sam.

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re doing well. I’ve attached a few photos of my lockdown which has involved lots of den building, walking in Gledhow Valley Woods (spot the ducklings), taking my cat for a walk (long story), buying crocs (a clear sign of my middle age),  and my greatest accomplishment: learning to do plaits!

Times Table Rock Stars BATTLE!

Posted on Thursday 23 April 2020 by Mr Wilks

Hello Y4 and Y5,

Tomorrow is BATTLE day on Times Table Rock Stars. Login anytime between 10:00am and 3:15pm on Friday to log a score. The year group with the highest score at the end of the day will be crowned the winners.

(Obviously, Year Y4 will win)

I’ve not done this before and I don’t know what it will look like at your end but it sounds fun and we all like a bit of competition! If you’re unsure of your login details, they should be in the front of your Home Learning books. If they’re not, email me or Mr Wain and we can help! My email address is paulwilks@spherefederation.org

Good luck and get practising (especially Year 4s)!

A few pics for you….

Hi all!

Here’s some excellent cooking skills being shown off. They’re an Indian sweet dish called Jalebis. Don’t they look tasty?!

I wonder if anyone can guess the member of our class being very acrobatic in front of their apple tree?!
